    Control Unit Invoice Number (KRA eTIMS)

    A monotonically increasing identifier issued by Kenya's KRA eTIMS to every VAT invoice, printed on the buyer-facing invoice alongside the eTIMS QR code.

    The Control Unit Invoice Number is unique per Control Unit (the eTIMS device or virtual instance registered to a seller's KRA PIN). It is the primary key KRA uses to reconcile the seller's VAT3 return against issued invoices.
