    UBL 2.1 defines a common semantic model that each jurisdiction extends (KSA extensions for ZATCA, MyInvois extensions for LHDN, Peppol BIS extensions for the four-corner network). Using UBL as the canonical format means one document model can be transformed to satisfy multiple mandates.
