Chave de Acesso (Brazilian NF-e)
The 44-digit access key that uniquely identifies a Brazilian electronic fiscal note (NF-e / NFS-e). It encodes the issuing state, CNPJ, model, series, and a verification digit, and is signed with an ICP-Brasil A1 certificate.
More Details
The Chave de Acesso is returned by SEFAZ (the state tax authority) when the NF-e is authorised. It is printed on the DANFE (the human-readable rendering of the NF-e) as a barcode and a numeric string so any party can query the SEFAZ portal to verify the note.
